create your own activist vision board
turn your phone screen into a source of inspiration
My new favourite life hack has been turning my phone screen into an activist vision board.
Vision boards have become a popular way to visualize our goals and dreams, acting as a source of daily inspiration. Your girl lives in a rental apartment with minimal space, so I don’t have a physical vision board - I use my phone wallpaper instead. We look at our phones every single day, so why not use our screen time to our advantage?
A vision board is an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on what success really means to you. When creating my vision board, I wanted to expand beyond the individualistic goals that society teaches us to define our success with. “Success” to me means lifting up my community, not just getting a cool job or buying fancy things. It’s building community wealth and ecological wealth, not just personal wealth.
Vision boarding can help us feel connected to our communities and the causes we care about when we don’t physically see them every day. It can inspire us to keep fighting for equity and justice, even on days when it all feels like too much.
If you’re feeling inspired to create your own, I’ve linked a Canva template below as a gift for paid subscribers!
